IoT Sensor Station
Our IoT sensors use leading-edge technology, to capture, analyse, monitor and report data including vine and soil moisture, air humidity, soil temperature, changing weather conditions, UV and smoke levels. With microclimate conditon reports vineyard owners can predict and prevent disease and vine-stress.
The Vine-Rover is an autonomous robot which patrols the vineyard, collects high-grade data imagery of grapevines, identifies changes in the crop and reports vine disease as soon as it appears. The Vine-Rover also uses the high-grade data imagery to estimate yield.
On-site IoT sensors use intelligent data processing and linked stations to capture and send accurate microclimate data to our Data Platform. Here viticulturists can view forecasts, predictions, GIS visualisations, and recommendations based on the data gathered.
IoT Infra-Red Station
Early intervention is key for protecting vines from frost events. Bitwise Agronomy IoT Infra-Red Sensors' activate as soon as the temperature drops, and capture the vines’ internal and external temperatures using highly accurate infra-red cameras. These cameras monitor the surface temperature of the plants during weather events to ensure frost mitigation measures are working. They can activate pre-set intervention functions such as activation of frost sprinklers and fans to protect the crops.
Bitwise’s pre-programmed micro drones work in unison to keep birds away from vineyards, eliminating the need for costly, labour-intensive netting. Simultaneously they capture and feed daily imagery to the Data Platform.
Belated identification of grape disease is the prime cause of damaged crops and yield loss. The Augmented Reality (AR) App allows viticulturists to view their vineyard's in real-time through interactive pop-ups pinpointing the problems, and allowing better management of crop holdings.
